The Crop haircut is a classic style that continues to gain popularity. This post outlines three takes on the classic crop haircut with styling and product recommendations.

Textured Crop

The textured crop is a classic shorter at the sides and back with a bit of extra length on top haircut. Enough hair on the sides and back to cover the scalp and just enough length on top to show lift and texture. 

GET IT:

Tell your barber or stylist you just saw Steve McQueen in the movie "The Great Escape" and you've been inspired but you want the top a bit more texturized.  If they don't know what you're talking about, show 'em this picture.

BUILD IT:

Clean the textured crop haircut with one of our shampoos and condition the hair. Towel dry the hair and spritz on a small amount of Reuzel Spray Grooming Tonic. Comb the hair into place on the sides and back and tussle the top with your fingers. Allow to dry naturally.

For a strong textured top - use a dab of Reuzel Extreme Hold Matte Pomade and rub it into the longer hair on top until happy with the look. For a softer more natural look - use Reuzel Matte Styling Paste instead.

Long Crop

The Long Crop is shorter at the sides and back with a bit of extra length on top. Enough hair on the sides and back to cover the scalp and just enough length on top to brush or part.

For a shiny look - do not touch the hair as it dries and add a dab of Reuzel Red Pomade once dry. For a more matte appearance on the Long Crop Haircut, run the comb or fingers through the hair once its dry and add a dab of Reuzel Clay Matte Pomade.

English Textured Crop Haircut

This textured crop haircut is ever so popular with the young English lads. The English Crop is all about the heavy fringe (bang). 

HOW TO GET IT:

Tell your barber you've been watching a lot of young English bands on YOUTUBE lately, that should give them a clue. If not, pull out your phone and show our website. It's all about building length and weight at the front of the cut while taking the back, sides and crown short.

HOW TO BUILD IT:

Add an inch or two (3-5 cm) of REUZEL Matte Styling Paste to the palms of your hand and rub/spread the paste between the palms. Apply to towel dried hair concentrating the PASTE mostly on the top of the head.

For a smooth - look comb into place and allow to dry. For a more tussled look - use your fingers to mess the top lengths and allow to dry without disturbing it.
