Application

Remove 1 knuckle full from can and emulsify in palms. Spread evenly across hands until fully covered. Apply to dry hair starting at crown and working toward front. Work from scalp to ends and liberally cover hair. Finish by combing hair into desired shape. Apply more if necessary.

Reuzel Green Grease is best for medium-thickness, wavy, and slightly thick hair that benefits from oil-based hold but doesn't need the full weight of Pink Grease. The medium hold makes it more flexible and reworkable than Pink, while the oil base still provides humidity resistance. It also works for pomade users transitioning into oil-based pomades for the first time. For thicker, curlier, or coarser hair that needs maximum hold, Reuzel Pink Grease (9/10 hold) is the stronger option. For straight, fine hair that wants similar shine without the oil base, Reuzel Red Pomade is a water-based equivalent.

How do you apply Reuzel Green Grease Pomade?

Apply Green Grease to dry hair, not wet — oil-based pomades work best on dry strands. Warm a small amount between your palms until it softens and becomes pliable, then work it through from roots to ends. Comb into shape. Green spreads easier than Pink because of the lighter hold. Use a small amount and add more if needed. Because it doesn't harden, you can rework hair throughout the day with your fingers or a comb.

Does Reuzel Green Grease wash out easily?

No - Green Grease is oil-based and requires a degreasing routine for clean removal, unlike Reuzel's water-based pomades. Reuzel's recommended removal routine is Daily Conditioner massaged through dry hair, leave for 3 to 5 minutes, followed by Scrub Shampoo to lift residue, then Daily Shampoo for a final clean wash. Regular shampoo alone won't fully dissolve the oil-based hold. The formula's humidity resistance is what makes the multi-step wash necessary - those same properties make it perform in hot, humid weather.

What does Reuzel Green Grease smell like and what is it made of?
